This goes out to the folks in colder climes, this is how we roll in California in the middle of winter. Lots and lots of veggies, not so much on the fruit this time of year. Which is okay, we always need to eat more vegetables. We spent about $35 on a two big bags of mostly-organic produce, a 10# bag of oranges, a fresh baguette from La Farine, a heavenly bunch of narcissus, and one samosa. And I retrieved my umbrella.

Radish and cabbage Rainbow tatoes

Clementine mandarins Seedless navel oranges

  1. Yep, I’m one of those folks in a much colder clime and I’m a bit envious. So little we eat over the winter is grown locally, aside from jams and pickled things that were made during our sadly short growing season.
