A friend posted this about her co-worker. It’s something I think I might benefit from doing, too. I have been working for several years on being more positive in general — I do the five good things journaling and try to have a brighter outlook but sometimes the catty creeps in and it is all I can do to keep my mouth shut.

He’s started this positive thinking exercise where he’s wearing an elastic bracelet for a month and whenever he says something negative he has to snap it and then put the bracelet onto the other hand.

The goal is to keep the bracelet on one hand for 30 days by training yourself to not say anything negative. The theory is that your thoughts and actions will follow.

It has sparked fun debates on positive/negative thinking. And it’s been contagious.

What do you think?
