Things I’ve been working on this week…
1. I bought some silver spraypaint and tried it out on some unfinished wooden beads — they came out pretty well, they have a nice vintage mod-style texture — and a piece of glass — not so well, it is not as reflective as I’d expected it would be, though enough to get something of a self portrait in.
2. Contemplating my sea glass I got on a trip to Victoria BC. It’s been sitting in a tin on the porch for several years, I finally cleaned it up and put it in this nice glass jar I bought at an estate sale last month. I may make some pendants. I might just leave it like this. I might try out some of the sea glass projects I’ve been bookmarking lately.
3. I had my first sale on Etsy — SO EXCITING. This is a red charm bracelet I was working on at craft night [Thursdays, 6-9 pm at Julie’s if you’re in the area]. It has vintage buttons and various glass beads — flowers, ladybirds, hearts, and other lovely things — all in warm reds and oranges. You can see some of my other sale items at gwen.etsy.com.for My Creative Space on kootoyoo]
