Things I’ve been working on this week…
1. I bought some silver spraypaint and tried it out on some unfinished wooden beads — they came out pretty well, they have a nice vintage mod-style texture — and a piece of glass — not so well, it is not as reflective as I’d expected it would be, though enough to get something of a self portrait in.
2. Contemplating my sea glass I got on a trip to Victoria BC. It’s been sitting in a tin on the porch for several years, I finally cleaned it up and put it in this nice glass jar I bought at an estate sale last month. I may make some pendants. I might just leave it like this. I might try out some of the sea glass projects I’ve been bookmarking lately.
3. I had my first sale on Etsy — SO EXCITING. This is a red charm bracelet I was working on at craft night [Thursdays, 6-9 pm at Julie’s if you’re in the area]. It has vintage buttons and various glass beads — flowers, ladybirds, hearts, and other lovely things — all in warm reds and oranges. You can see some of my other sale items at gwen.etsy.com.
The sea glass looks so pretty in the jar!
Congrats on the Etsy sale!

I agree on the sea glass in the jar – it is lovely. And HOORAY on the first etsy sale! I have been too lazy to list any of my photo prints there yet but plan to kick myself in the rear soon.
