Go Mandy, It's Your Birthday!

Well, well, well. Bet y'all though I'd dropped off the face of the earth, eh? Ha! No such luck!

We are still in transitional housing, our lil' apartment, and still in Berkeley. Downtown, to be more specific, and I've never lived in a cooler neighborhood. Jayden's going to what is just about the best public school in town; we had an IEP last month and got my baby a KILLER education plan. No matter where we end up living (we can stay where we are until June '05) that plan follows him; all school districts have to meet everything outlined in the plan and if a district cannot provide it, they (and the county & state) by law have to pay for a private school that can meet his needs.

I really, really would like to stay in Berkeley, and keep him in this most excellent school, but it'll be nothing short of miraculous if we find housing here.

Whoo-hoo! Yep, the highlight of my day is coming to the library and waiting 45 minutes for a computer, then spending 20 minutes getting rid of the spam in my yahoo inbox!

Actually, the coolest thing happened this morning: my 3-year old niece, my play-sister's daughter, sang "Happy Birthday Auntie Mandy" to me over the phone. Jayden, on the other hand, had an attitude this morning...I got a hug & a "happy birthday" though, so it wasn't all bad.

*sigh* I've got so much to write...but the good news is, I've got less "bidness" to take care of right now, fewer appointments & such...and Jayden's back in school (summer was hard on us, for lots of reasons) and I can go to the library now. When Jayden is with me, we get kicked out of every floor except the children's floor...thank goodness we live by the main branch & there's a whole floor for kids...he is WAY TOO MUCH for just about anywhere we go.

Anyway, so I intend to come & get online as often as possible, and will possibly have some interesting things to share. In the meantime, I send my love, and I'll see ya later...

BTW, what's up with those ads in my comments? Are other bloggers getting that crap too? I can't check anyone's site now, no time! Stay outta my comments, damn spammers!
