The marina at Jack London Square from the walkway behind the hotel. I don't know how I feel about the greyness of this; in general, I prefer my blacks black -- but compositionally this is probably one of the better nighttime shots I've taken, particularly how well the reflections in the water came out. The red glow in the sky is the massive light pollution from the Port of Oakland, which drives my rooftop astronomer boyfriend nuts. I pumped the color a bit from the original:
