P'sghetti

Thursday morning I woke up early and decided to make a pot of p'sghetti. We'd gotten a bunch of really good stuff from the food bank the day before, including some Aidell's sausage. Yes, really! They're the skinny breakfast ones, with bacon and sweet potatoes and maple sugar. Mm mm. I chopped up four of those, and crumbled a couple tomato & basil veggie burgers, and sauteed 'em. Then I added two cans of Italian style diced tomatoes, and a can of meatloaf sauce, since I didn't have any actual plain tomato sauce. I seasoned that shit up real good and mixed it with the spaghetti, and then sliced cheese on top. Baked it all in the oven for a lil while and it was all good.

I sat down to watch TV and eat the p'sghetti. I was halfway through the bowl when Jayden woke up and I offered him some. Spaghetti is yummy for breakfast, dontcha know. Even yummier than cold pizza in the morning. He was still hungry after he wolfed it down; I was purty durn happy to see all those big chunks of tomatoes going in his mouth. I gave him a single-serving bowl of Pokemon cereal we'd gotten from the food bank, something I'd never actually buy. Later he asked for some yogurt, and after that he wanted something else, so I gave him a lil' pack of chocolate chip cookies, also from the food bank. He asked for spaghetti for lunch and dinner, so that's what I dished out, along with some carrots at lunch and broccoli at dinner.

The reason I'm going into so much detail about what he ate is because my baby is generally a really picky eater, who hardly eats anything. Sometimes I wonder if he'll ever get any meat on his bones, and I'm glad his appetite was so strong. Even if it was only for one day.
