I'm considering having a headboard made, or perhaps building it myself. This wouldn't be as cumbersome as one would think. i have a definite style in mind -- perhaps one of those adorable picket fence type headboards that Pottery Barn sells for $700 (who has $700 to spend on things like a headboard?).

sadly, the only real "design" i have is the one that's linked above (click "tiffany's picked fence headboard") .. i am not entirely sure where the paper copy of that is, but if there is anything you're a little unclear about, please let me know. i'm a woodworker's daughter so i tend to use the shortcuts in designing plans ;)

Thank you for sharing--would you use the same pattern for head and foot? I want to make a twin-sure my husband can figure out the size dimensions just by looking at how you did your Queen. You are right--who has that kind of money!!! I wanted one for my dghtr-figured making one would be cheaper, just did not know where to start. I found your site, and I am thrilled.
