Apologies to the few of you who wanted a lunch or a Monday, but the bags of e-mails clamoring for a Tuesday evening event just will not stop pouring in, so, without further adieu:

Happy Hour II is coming to a Pacific Coast Brewing Co. back patio near you next Tuesday evening, June 17, starting at 5 p.m. and going on until all hours (or at least 8 and probably even later than that. If you're going to show up late and want to make sure you're not missing us, note that in the comments and I'll send you my cell number.)

Be ready for: Food. Drinks. Laughter.

Bring: yourself, cash, and at least one pirate joke.

Please R.S.V.P. so we don't have to split up into competing tribes like last time.

A special request: We (and by 'we', I mean 'I and my two most-loved ones', not 'I and whichever of you feels like tagging along') are heading off on our family vacation next Thursday, but, unfortunately, my CD burner has died a very sad, quiet little death, which means I have no way of making special Road Trip CDs, so, if you have the time and inclination to make me a copy of your favorite homegrown mix, I would be forever in your debt. We're doing a lot of driving. I promise to return the favor as soon as we get a new burner. And look for a lunch in early July.

But of course, and hopefully will even have conversations with people I don't know this time! I'll drag Sherry and Melissa along plus mebbe August (later) so count me as 4. I will try to make you a road trip CD - something mildly obnoxious and good to sing to after you've left that little roadstop in the middle of nowhere...
