Show up this Wednesday evening, June 4, at Pacific Coast Brewing Co., right next to the Marriott/convention center in lovely downtown Oakland (map), right around the corner from the 12th Street BART station.
I was thinking about checking out The Rex, which is across the street and has a full bar, but it's just been so darn sultrygorgeous out that I can't resist Pacific Coast's lovely patio.
Time: 5 to 7 p.m., and probably later. If you haven't been able to make it before because of work conflict, now's your chance to mingle with the Oakland elite.
Sustenance: Dinner and finger foods on the menu, a host of thirst-slaking home brews, iced tea, and sundry pop.
Bring: yourself, cash, and at least one charming anecdote. And a Scrabble™ board, if you've got one.
R.S.V.P. in the comments so we can save you a seat.
Feel free to share this invitation with your nearest and dearest, even if they're not quite Oaklanders.
Two quotes we may or may not discuss:

2. "Midsummer madness brings winter sadness, so curb your badness. If you can't be good, be careful." Jess Semple
