Bike Tours of Oakland

Free bicycle tours of Oakland every third Sunday of the summer months.

Do you know where the Spice King, Adolph Shilling, lived in Oakland? Or the chocolate magnate Domingo Ghiradelli? Want to see the homes of Gertrude Stein, Jack London and Borax Smith? Explore Oakland with the docents of the Oakland Museum of California. Learn about the incredible history of the city and its visionaries and scoundrels (often one and the same). The leisurely paced two-hour tours are about five miles long, with no hills. Participants must be over twelve years old and provide their own bikes, helmets and repair kits.
