The San Francisco chapter of the Church of Craft meets at Rock Paper Scissors Collective this Sunday for a free one-hour granny square-making workshop at noon followed by an afternoon of crafting and potluck (1-5pm).
Community craft meets are a great opportunity for those who have a million projects going on at once but never seem to have time to finish any of them, and for people who like being with other people.
The Church of Craft meets monthly, visit their site for more information and to sign up for their newsletter.

Lake Merritt
Saturday, May 20, 2006
Meet at 8 a.m. at the large spherical cage near Nature Center at Perkins & Bellevue Sts. Designed for novice and intermediate birders, this trip provides an introduction to birding as well as opportunity to study birds more difficult to identify. First half focuses on water birds. Second half is in parklands bordering lake where we expect to see smaller birds. Vagrant species occur frequently at Lake Merritt. Route is handicapped accessible.
